Furthermore, although fans are a big part of why this rivalry is so iconic, it’s the players who make these games so suspenseful. Both Pakistan and India have championship-caliber teams , making the match a nail bitter. Australian cricketer Mitchell Marsh even mentioned it in a tweet.

The record for their ICC Tournament Matches is in favor of India with 14-4-1 and as predicted, team India took the win on Sunday by 4 wickets. Virat Kholi came in clutch with his batting towards the end of the match with 82 runs winning the game. Unfortunately, Pakistan’s efforts were not enough even with two of their batters, batting 103 runs collectively. Team Pakistan’s didn’t come to play and that was reflected in their game.
